Its PB Month
Graham Potter landed a 25lb common during a quick afternoon session on Saturday at Broom Lake. Shane Pepper tempted a 20lb 3oz common from the margin on a single pop up during a day session at Broom Lake on Monday. A reminder that from 1st October to 31st March members (but not juniors) are permitted to use 3 rods at The Airman, Broom Lake and Willington Lake, provided they have the appropriate number of EA licences.
Teenager Charlie Kearns enjoyed a couple of productive 12h sessions at The Airman whilst fishing with his dad Steve McCall. On his first session Charlie caught a 25lb catfish and an accidental pike, which took a perch he was reeling In whist float fishing. Charlie’s second session produce a PB catfish of 44lb and a PB mirror carp of 20lb. Dad Steve also managed a 12h session by himself that produced three catfish to 46lb.
