Stephen Tatum recently fished his first overnight session of the year at The Airman and was rewarded with 6 carp, landing three carp each night. The carp included 3 mirrors in the 15lb-16lb bracket, an 18lb 8oz common, a 20lb mirror and biggest fish of the weekend was a 21lb 7oz mirror.

With water temperatures rising Mick Baldwin decided to start his spring campaign at Broom Lake. Mick’s first trip produced 6 bream for 30lb. Mick just managed to get his rods out before the heavens opened on his second trip, but the rain did not put off the bream with another 6 slabs for 33lb 6oz landed. A heavy frost greeted Mick on his third trip but he remained optimistic as the water temperature had not fallen and he had his most productive session of the week with twelve bream and two ‘nuisance carp’ for 81lb 4oz. This represented 26 fish for 143lb 10oz over his 3 daytime sessions.
